The Bronze Mage Series is a YA Steampunk/Clockpunk/Fantasy series. It is set in an alternate universe, similar to Earth in the Victorian era. It focuses on two characters.
Emma Sparrow is sixteen and raised in the country of Estrovia. When her mother dies, Emma is left with very little. She isn't prepared to be an adult, and has little by the way of prospects. What she is left with is a message for her father and a pendant bearing a strange symbol.
William Cassidy is eighteen and is an apprentice horologist from Astoria. When his master goes missing and the shop is ransacked and smells of magic, Will is suspected of murder. When it is revealed that Will has magic and is therefore illegally working as an apprentice horologist, the suspicion grows.
Will and Emma join forces when he saves her life. He will help her find her father if she helps him to find his master. But how closely are the two missions linked? Emma's strange pendant may be the key to several mysteries.
